Hybrid Motors Nigeria Opens Seed Round to Build Africa’s Next Electric Mobility Ecosystem

Lagos, Nigeria — Hybrid Motors Nigeria has opened its seed investment round as the company accelerates plans to build a fully integrated electric mobility ecosystem for Nigeria and the wider African market.

The seed round will support the company’s next phase of growth across electric vehicle production, vehicle financing and charging infrastructure.

Hybrid Motors Nigeria is building its business around a simple belief: Africa must not only consume the future of mobility, it must help build it.

For decades, African markets have depended heavily on imported vehicles, imported parts and imported technical systems. As the global automotive industry shifts towards electric vehicles, Hybrid Motors Nigeria believes the continent has an opportunity to take a different path — one rooted in local manufacturing, local infrastructure and long-term industrial capacity.

The company is raising seed capital to help move that vision from ambition to execution.

“Our seed round is open because the window is now,” said Jubril Arogundade, Chief Executive Officer of Hybrid Motors Nigeria. “Global supply chains are shifting, battery costs are dropping, and African governments are beginning to take industrial policy more seriously. The companies that move early will help define the next fifty years of mobility on the continent.”

Hybrid Motors Nigeria is not approaching electric mobility as a single-product business. The company is building an ecosystem across three connected areas: vehicle production, vehicle financing and charging infrastructure.

Through Hybrid Factory & Motors Nigeria, the company is focused on manufacturing and distributing electric vehicles designed for African roads, African climates and African usage patterns.

Through Hybrid Finance, the company plans to make EV ownership more accessible by developing financing structures for individuals, fleet operators, delivery businesses, ride-hailing drivers and everyday commercial users.

Through Hybrid Power, the company is developing charging infrastructure across strategic locations, including high-traffic corridors, commercial hubs and major urban routes.

The company believes all three pillars must grow together for electric mobility to work at scale. A vehicle without financing remains out of reach for many customers. An electric vehicle without reliable charging infrastructure is difficult to adopt. Infrastructure without vehicle supply cannot build a market.

Hybrid Motors Nigeria’s integrated model is designed to solve these challenges together.

Over the next 18 months, the company plans to complete its first manufacturing facilities in Lagos and Abuja, deploy 50 charging stations across Nigeria, and onboard 5,000 fleet partners through Hybrid Finance.

The seed round will help fund early execution across these priorities, including facility development, charging infrastructure deployment, fleet partnerships, technical operations and market expansion.

Hybrid Motors Nigeria says it is seeking strategic investors who understand the scale of Africa’s mobility opportunity and the importance of building local industrial capacity.

“We are not looking for passive capital,” Arogundade said. “We are looking for believers — people who understand that Africa’s biggest opportunity is not just extracting resources, but building capacity.”

Nigeria’s mobility market presents a significant opportunity. Rising fuel costs, growing urban populations, logistics demand and increasing interest in cleaner transport are reshaping how people and businesses think about vehicle ownership.

At the same time, electric mobility will only succeed if it is built around local realities. Hybrid Motors Nigeria’s approach is focused on practical adoption: vehicles that can handle local roads, financing that fits local earning patterns, and charging infrastructure placed where customers actually need it.

The company’s long-term ambition is to help build one of Africa’s leading electric mobility platforms, combining manufacturing, finance and energy into a single operating ecosystem.

Hybrid Motors Nigeria is inviting investors, partners and stakeholders to join the company as it enters its next phase of growth.
